Halftime Under the Lights

With the outstanding start to the season,
Iowa State Football has received major television coverage.
The Homecoming 2002 game was no exception, featured on WTBS
this nationally televised game kicked off at 6:00pm. This
brought a unique situation to the Alumni Band- we actually got
to sleep in on Saturday! The day started with a music
rehearsal at 9:30am, and then moved to the practice field to
learn the drill and run though the show with the Varsity Band.
The 164 person Alumni Band took to the night field -the first
time since 1984- for a Homecoming halftime show under the
lights. Featuring music from the Blues Brothers we entertained
the crowd with such favorites as Give Me Some Lovin, and Sweet
Home Chicago. The brisk fall night didn't impact the Cyclones
as they defeated Texas Tech 31-17, their sixth win of the
season.
