Just Ask the Alumni Band

Which is exactly what the Varsity Band did last August when they realized that they would be short a few players for a Des Moines appearance. For the past few years Iowa State has been invited to hold a pep rally during the Des Moines Downtown Farmers Market. The Pep Band, Cheer Squad, Cy, Coach McCarney, and some of the players are featured during this morning event. Usually held in late August, the event attracts large crowds. This year however the rally was scheduled for early August before most students make their way back to Ames. The Varsity Band put out the call for help and the Alumni Band responded with their usual enthusiasm.
